Introduction:
It's been a year since we embarked on the design of our new generation TKL, and now we can finally unveil the culmination of our efforts — the QK80 MK2. Throughout this journey, we grappled with how to blend functionality and aesthetics, to ensure the keyboard not only performs perfectly but also shows the personality of its owner.
After countless rounds of prototyping and experiments, we've concentrated our thoughts and inspirations into this product that we believe will exceed your expectations. It's a canvas for creativity and a testament to our commitment to enhancing the joy of daily typing. Each upgrade is a step forward in our mission to make your interaction with the keyboard a delightful experience. We invite you to enjoy the pleasure of typing with the QK80 MK2.

Front Design
The screen module is an iconic element in QK’s design starting from the QK100, and we continusiouly working on seamlessly integrate the screen into the keyboard without compromising functionality. On the QK80 MK2, we re-organized the function area, only keeping the most frequently used functions keys to save a place for the integrated screen module, to achieve a perfect balance between the aesthetics and usability.
Unlike our previous products where all customization had to be done on the computer, the QK80 MK2's screen module offers more direct interaction through keyboard inputs and integrated buttons. It features three built-in themes, allowing users to match their display with different keycaps. Users can also personalize the keyboard by customizing animations on both the screen and dot-matrix display, adding a unique touch to their device.
In addition to the themes, we've included a mini-game—"Flappy Bird"—in the display module. This allows you to take a quick break during your busy schedule. Other basic functions like setting the date and time, toggling RGB lighting, and adjusting sleep settings are also accessible on the screen.
Side Design
The side profile of the QK80 MK2 inherits the second-generation design language of the Qwertykeys family, featuring a 3-layer structure and a contrasting color between the top case and the battery compartment. This design not only makes the whole keyboard easier to pick up but also showcases the meticulously selected color combinations for each colorway
Back Design
We have further refined the overall structure of the QK80 MK2. By separating the battery compartment from the bottom case, we've preserved the integrity of the sound chamber, thereby enhancing the keyboard's acoustic performance.
The weight design for the QK80 MK2 showcases our continued exploration on QK's second-generation design language. Building on our unique weight shape, we've added more personalized elements for the MK2. The contrast between different surface color and texture create a more sophisticated back profile. Paired with the slogan "[ Working + Gaming ] x Fun," we aim to offer a more diverse and engaging input experience for both work and play.
The badge on the right side doubles as a cover for the USB dongle pod and a decorative element. It's magnetically attached to the bottom case, allowing for easy removal. Badges from QK's earlier products, like the QK65v2 and QK75N, are also compatible with the QK80 MK2.
Structure
Instead of the regular gasket mount, the QK80 MK2 features the highly-praised Leaf Spring mount from Owlab and an effortless ball-catch easy disassembly system. This marks the first use of these two features in the QK series. We’ve also carefully designed the positioning of the leaf springs and the acoustic chamber in the bottom case to optimize both acoustic performance and typing feedback consistency.
The PCB, daughterboard, and screen module are all connected via magnetic connectors, ensuring a truly effortless disassembly experience.
PCB
All PCBs:
Support USB-C, Bluetooth, and 2.4GHz connections
Compatible with both ANSI and ISO layouts
Work with WK and WKL cases
Support both 6.25u and 7u spacebars
Use QK's customized VIA web configurator for keymapping and screen customization, as the original VIA doesn't support advanced screen functions
